Revelation 9:5
The Bible in Revelation Chapter 9 Verse 5 says:
And it was given them that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when it striketh a man.
Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 9 Verse 5
In Revelation 9:5, God grants power to a group of people to torment and cause pain to others without actually killing them. The level of pain inflicted is described as being similar to the pain of a scorpion’s sting. This torment is said to last for five months. This passage is a warning of the horrors of the Great Tribulation, one of the final judgments God will carry out before the Day of Judgment. The torment of the Great Tribulation will be so severe that people will wish they had been killed instead.
