Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 21 Verse 20

Revelation 21:20 speaks of the twelve gates of the heavenly city of New Jerusalem, which are made of twelve precious stones. Each gate is said to be made of a different stone, with the fifth being sardonyx, the sixth being sardius, the seventh being chrysolite, the eighth being beryl, the ninth being topaz, the tenth being chrysoprase, the eleventh being jacinth, and the twelfth being amethyst. The verse explains that the city’s walls are made of jasper and the city is lit with a great light.
