Revelation 18:6
The Bible in Revelation Chapter 18 Verse 6 says:
Render unto her even as she rendered, and double [unto her] the double according to her works: in the cup which she mingled, mingle unto her double.
Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 18 Verse 6
Revelation 18:6 is a warning from God to the inhabitants of Babylon, the great city of sin. It is a call to judgment, to render unto Babylon what she has done, to double her punishment according to her works. The imagery of a cup being mixed is used to symbolize the judgment of Babylon, as the cup of her iniquity will be filled to the brim, and she will be forced to drink the cup of God’s wrath. This is a reminder of the consequences of sin and the importance of repentance, for those who do not repent will receive a double portion of God’s judgment.
