The Bible in Revelation Chapter 17 Verse 6 says:
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with a great wonder.
Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 17 Verse 6
Revelation 17:6 paints a vivid and somber picture of a woman who is drunk with the blood of both saints and martyrs of Jesus. She stands as a symbol of the world’s great wickedness and John is so overwhelmed by the sight of her that he wonders in amazement. In this verse, we see a representation of the power of evil as it has taken the lives of so many faithful followers of Jesus. It is a reminder to all believers that we must stand firm against the temptations of sin and be willing to endure persecution for our faith in Jesus.
