Interpretation of Jude Chapter 1 Verse 1

Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, is writing to all those who have been called and are beloved in God the Father and kept safe in Jesus Christ. He is sending them his greetings and wishes that they may have mercy, peace, and love. He then goes on to explain why he is writing them: to remind them to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints, as they must be on guard against false teachers and their teachings. He wants them to be aware of these false teachers, as they will lead them astray and cause them to stumble in their faith. He ends by encouraging them to stand firm in their faith and to keep in mind the words of Jesus Christ and the apostles.
