Revelation Chapter 18 Verse 19

Revelation 18:19

The Bible in Revelation Chapter 18 Verse 19 says:

And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Woe, woe, the great city, wherein all that had their ships in the sea were made rich by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.

Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 18 Verse 19

Revelation 18:19 describes a group of people mourning the destruction of a great city. They are in shock and grief and are expressing their sorrow by crying and throwing dust over their heads. This city was wealthy due to its trading activities, but in a single hour it has been made desolate and destroyed. This is a symbol of the destruction of any city that is proud and glorying in its own wealth and power. It is a warning to all people that God will not tolerate pride and sin, and will bring destruction upon those who do not turn to Him.
