Revelation 10:9
The Bible in Revelation Chapter 10 Verse 9 says:
And I went unto the angel, saying unto him that he should give me the little book. And he saith unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey.
Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 10 Verse 9
Revelation 10:9 is a reference to the vision of the apostle John, who was shown a heavenly messenger, who gave him a small scroll that he was to eat. Despite the scroll being sweet as honey when it entered his mouth, it made his stomach bitter. This is seen as a metaphor for how the words of God, although they may seem sweet, can be difficult to bear. This is a reminder to us that God’s words should be absorbed and followed despite the challenges they may bring.
