Revelation 6:17
The Bible in Revelation Chapter 6 Verse 17 says:
for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?
Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 6 Verse 17
Revelation 6:17 is part of a longer passage in which the four horsemen of the Apocalypse are described. The four horsemen represent pestilence, war, famine, and death, and they are sent out by God to bring great suffering and destruction upon the earth. In verse 17, the fifth seal is opened, and the souls of those who were slain for their faith in Jesus Christ cry out to God, asking how much longer they must wait for justice. They are told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who will be slain is complete. The passage then ends with a warning that the great day of God’s wrath is near, and that no one will be able to stand against it.
