Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 6 Verse 9

Revelation 6:9 is part of the vision that John the Apostle had while in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day. He saw the Lamb (Jesus) opening the fifth seal, and underneath the altar, he saw the souls of those that had been slain because of their faith in God and their commitment to His Word. These martyrs were given white robes and instructed to wait a little while until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who would be killed as they had been was completed. This verse speaks of the courage and faith of those who have been persecuted and killed for their faith in God, and of the hope that God will reward those who remain steadfast in their commitment to Him.
