Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 5 Verse 2

This is a vision given to the apostle John in the book of Revelation. In it, John sees a mighty angel proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the book and to loose the seals thereof?” The angel is referring to a book sealed with seven seals and only someone who is worthy can open it. This book is a symbol of God’s plan for humanity and it will be revealed when the seals are opened. The angel is looking for someone who is worthy enough to open the book and reveal God’s mysteries. In the end, the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, is revealed as the one worthy to open the book and break its seals. This is a reminder that Jesus is the only one who can bring salvation and reveal God’s plan for humanity.
