Interpretation of Revelation Chapter 3 Verse 2
In Revelation 3:2, Jesus is speaking to the church of Sardis, who had become complacent and careless about their faith. Jesus is calling for them to be watchful and to rebuild and strengthen the faith that is already in them, but is in danger of dying out. He also points out that their works were not yet perfect, and that they must strive to perfect them before God. He encourages them to return to their first love and to remain faithful to the gospel. In conclusion, Jesus is warning the church at Sardis that they must be watchful and remain vigilant if they are to rebuild and perfect their works before God.
